3 Reminders for A Monday

Mornings. Especially Monday mornings. They always seem to come in a hurry.

The weekend is already over and it's back to the daily grind. Whisk the eggs. Pour the orange juice. Put the kettle on.

I don't know about you, but this time change throws me off. I've never been one to enjoy waking up to the dark. And just when I was beginning to enjoy the sunrays spilling in between the curtains too.

If you're with me, here are 3 reminders for your Monday.

  • Thankfulness cures grumpiness. Don't focus on the fact that you're running late, or that you have a to-do list a mile long, or that you just spilled coffee all over your favorite top. Focus on the fact that you have a job. That the things on your to-do list are ways that you can care for and love your family. That you have a closet full of clothes.

  • Simplify. You can't do it all, have it all, or be it all, no matter how hard you try. Don't waste your time this week pursuing things that have no real value.

  • All is grace. Even though your eyes are heavy. Even though the eggs cracked onto the floor instead of into the pan. Even though life this morning might be frustrating, discouraging, or lonely. Every moment, every breath, is a gift. Cherish it.
